Resume
Head of Tech, software engineer, and U.S. Army EOD veteran. I build AI-native systems from zero, for places where failure has real consequences.
Summary
I have shipped mission-critical systems for over a decade. At Bolt Farm Treehouse I built BoltOS, an AI-native ERP on Elixir, the Ash Framework and Claude Code, from a blank repo to the operational backbone of a hospitality business. I created pebblebase and ThickDB, a database-first architecture. I bring cloud infrastructure, security and AI-native design, along with the steady decision-making of an Army EOD team leader.
Experience
Bolt Farm Treehouse, Head of Tech
January 2026 to present
- Run Tech as de facto CTO. I own the stack and access across the GitHub org, Vercel, Cloudflare, Fly.io and Google Workspace, and I report Tech's priorities at the all-company huddle.
- Built BoltOS from scratch on Elixir and the Ash Framework. It unifies CRM, reservations, sales and property management in one declarative system.
- Shipped a native MCP integration, so Claude and internal agents can read, reason over and act on live business data.
- Built an AI-native knowledge base that generates and maintains role-specific documentation.
- Own the full deploy path with Terraform and Fly.io, including infrastructure, CI, observability and on-call.
HCA Healthcare, Senior Automation Engineer / Cloud Solution Architect (contract)
October 2025 to January 2026
- Led solution and code review for 12+ high-impact projects across the GCP footprint, covering consistency, security posture and infrastructure-as-code hygiene.
- Wrote and maintained Terraform modules for new service rollouts, which reduced configuration drift across teams.
- Turned business requirements into cloud architecture, aligning engineering, security and platform stakeholders on shared standards.
Golden Bear Fleet Services, Founder and owner
January 2025 to October 2025
- Founded a diesel fleet service company in Middle Tennessee and built its brand, customers and service capacity.
- Led all technical operations with a two-person crew: diesel diagnostics and repair, scheduling, job prep and parts procurement.
- Ran the business end to end as sole owner, including bookkeeping, sales, marketing, invoicing and growth decisions.
Abenity, Lead Site Reliability Engineer, previously Senior IT Specialist
January 2023 to January 2025
- Cut monthly cloud costs by $5,000 through automation and architecture work, and improved reliability with observability and automated scaling.
- Ran AWS-based infrastructure serving millions of users, and monitored host- and network-based IDS/IPS.
- Advised leadership on IT policy, budget and operational planning, and led incident response and forensic analysis.
- Improved compliance with security directives by 40% by running security training for IT staff.
Ramsey Solutions, Systems Engineer
May 2022 to December 2022
- Delivered AWS systems for 25M+ users, designed and implemented with business units.
- Reduced operational overhead by 20% by automating workflows for 300+ staff, and modernized CI/CD pipelines.
- Briefed leadership biweekly on security posture and infrastructure performance.
VMware, Site Reliability Engineer
July 2021 to May 2022
- Maintained 99.9% uptime for 12 federal agencies by designing, configuring and managing VMware Cloud environments.
- Aligned infrastructure, security and release practices across commercial and federal development tracks.
- Improved resource utilization and stability with scaling solutions, and worked with developers to fix security vulnerabilities before they could be exploited.
U.S. Army, Explosive Ordnance Disposal technician, Fort Bragg, NC
March 2012 to August 2017
- Led teams of up to 60 people in EOD operations, including combat deployments to Afghanistan.
- Neutralized complex explosive threats using field-expedient diagnostic tools designed under hazardous conditions.
- Zero mission failures during my tenure.
Projects
pebblebase, AI-chat app platform
Launched October 2026
- A platform for building and hosting small apps through AI chat.
- Designed ThickDB, its database-first architecture. Invariants live in database triggers and policy values live in config tables the triggers read, so a policy change is a row edit, not a schema change.

- Cloud and infrastructure: AWS, GCP, VMware Cloud, Terraform, Fly.io, Vercel, Cloudflare, PostgreSQL, CI/CD, observability, SRE
- Security and operations: incident response, IDS/IPS, forensic analysis, IT policy development, configuration management, compliance
