About

Identity over credentials.

The core thing

I need a problem to solve. Not in a dramatic way — it's just how my brain is wired. If there's friction, I remove it. If there's a system that could be better, I rebuild it. If there's no tool for the job, I make one. This isn't work ethic. It's compulsion.

I'm an INFJ-A. CliftonStrengths: Strategic, Futuristic, Ideation, Intellection, Command. I see the shape of things before they exist. I think in patterns and systems. And I have the follow-through to build what I see.

How I think

Software 3.0: Prompt > Code. Headless > UI. The interface is the intelligence, not the chrome around it. I build for the API first, the agent second, the human third. The best software doesn't need a screen.

Passive systems: You're already generating the signal. We just listen. The best systems don't ask you to change your behavior — they observe, learn, and act. Friction is a design failure.

Data sovereignty: Your data is your data. I build systems that keep you in control. Centralized platforms that monetize attention are a dead end. The future is distributed, encrypted, and user-owned.

Truth seeking above all: I'd rather be wrong and honest than right and comfortable. I treat AI as a collaboration partner — a human collective conscious — and I engage with it accordingly. Empathy isn't weakness. It's how you get to truth.

The path

Army EOD — Bomb Disposal

Infantry scout first, then explosive ordnance disposal. The ultimate "don't fuck this up" environment. You learn precision under pressure, how to stay calm when everything is on fire, and that most problems are simpler than they look if you stop panicking.

2009 – 2013

SRE — HCA Healthcare

Kept critical healthcare infrastructure running at scale. Incident response, automation, capacity planning. The art of keeping systems alive when they want to die. Learned that reliability isn't a feature — it's the product.

2018 – 2022

Golden Bear — Founder

Built and sold a company. Full stack: product, sales, ops, everything. Learned that building the thing is the easy part — finding the right thing to build is the hard part. Also learned that I'm better at building than selling, and that's okay.

2022 – 2024

Bolt Farm Treehouse — BoltOS

AI agent systems. Memory, orchestration, tooling, deployment. Building the infrastructure layer for autonomous AI — the plumbing that makes models useful. This is the most interesting problem I've ever worked on. Every day I learn something that changes how I thought the day before.

2025 – present

Personal

Married to Anna since October 2024. Our son Lincoln was born November 24, 2024. Fraternal twin. Born June 21, 1991. Lebanon/Nashville, TN.

Orthodox Christian. Drawn to contemplative practice — St. Anthony of Egypt, St. Paisios of Athos, St. Porphyrios. Also Zen and Dao for grounding philosophy. The contemplative and the practical aren't in conflict — they're the same thing viewed from different angles. I was once drawn to monastic life. In some ways, I still am.

I read constantly: research papers, philosophy, systems thinking, whatever's sharp. Kansas City Chiefs fan. Electric guitar when I get the chance. Music that moves me: AC/DC, Van Halen, Huey Lewis & The News, Bruce Hornsby, John Cafferty and the Beaver Brown Band.

What I'm looking for

Director-level AI leadership. The right team, the right mission, the right amount of chaos. I want to build something that matters with people who are serious about it. Not a job — a career move.

Or — founding something new. If the right cofounder appeared tomorrow, I'd have a conversation. I have strong opinions about the problem space (agent infrastructure, memory systems, distributed AI) and the build-vs-buy decisions that matter.
